A one-act play by Christopher Sergel from Kurt Vonnegut Jr's "Welcome to the Monkey House."

The play is about two people who can only open up when they are acting. The scene opens at The North Crawford Mask and Wig Club, a local community Theatre Group.

Do you enjoy a good mystery? Can you guess the murderer?

Now, with Theatre Guild’s West Coast Premiere showing of, “The Demise of Downtown Flabby,” you can be part of the mystery and guess the “whodunit.” This play was written and is being directed by Beverly Arrowsmith, an award winning playwright with over ten years of writing, teaching and acting experience.

Thursday, August 4th, in clubhouse #5 at 5:00 p.m. begins an evening of fun, laughter and suspense.

The outstanding cast of: Lewis Marcus; Joan Laing; Jeff Sinclair; Bill Reed; Sandy O’Connor; Steven Bently; Colleen Chalayan; Lee MacMorris and Eveline Hoffman plus several servants will commit a murder right before your very eyes!

Begin the evening with a no-host bar, followed by a catered Jolanda dinner and concluding with your guess of solving the mystery. Cost is $20 for members and $23 for non-members of Theatre Guild. Reservations are required – seating is limited – don’t be left out!

What? There’s going to be a murder in Clubhouse Five?

As Sgt. Joe Friday from the popular series Dragnet said, “All we know are the facts, ma’am.”

And here are the facts: Theatre Guild will be having a Mystery Dinner Theatre on Thursday, August 4th at 5:00 p.m. in Clubhouse 5. Beverly Arrowsmith, an award-winning playwright and one of our Saddleback acting instructors has written the script titled, “The Deadly Demise at Downtown Flabby.” The outstanding cast of: Lewis Marcus; Joan Laing; Jeff Sinclair; Bill Reed; Sandy O’Connor; Steven Bently; Colleen; Lee MacMorris; and Eveline Hoffman plus several servants will be committing a murder right before your very eyes and YOU the audience, will have the opportunity to guess the murderer. There will be a no-host bar and a sumptuous catered buffet dinner by Jolanda featuring entrées of apricot chicken and veggie lasagna. The cost is $20 for members and $23 for guests.

If you enjoyed “Downtown Abby,” then you are going to love, “The Deadly Demise at Downtown Flabby.”

The Club will present a very special one-woman show by Andrea Caban, performed by Andrea Caban. Andrea presents Terry Fiset's story. Terry was diagnosed with ALS two years ago. Andrea is the voice coach Terry contacted to try to keep her voice as long as possible from the ravages of ALS. Andrea plays herself and Terry in this very moving, often humorous testament to one woman's determination to keep her voice as long as possible. Terry, 2013 and 2014 Theatre Guild president, brought great shows to the village such as "The Odd Couple, Female Version" and "Love, Sex in Laguna Woods." ??Theatre Guild offers this play to the entire community FREE OF CHARGE! The show lasts about one hour. Please tell your friends about this show! You will leave the theater with renewed hope and a better appreciation of life.??The club would like to see a good crowd to show support for Terry and the ALS Foundation.
